Hi Guys, just wanted to introduce myself...

I'm 38, and have been riding since the original Ghost Busters movie was in the theater

I've had several Yamaha's through the years, including a couple dirt bikes, an '03 R1, and an '82 Virago 750.

Current bike is an '80 XS11 Special, i bought as a box of parts, and it hit the road for the first time today. There are a few issues to work out (mainly carbs, and random leaks), but she definitely wanted to RUN!

I've been reading this forum for years, so i feel like i know most of you already.
It's about time i joined the ranks

....also notice the seat has been re-done as it has lost its rider dished portion, which became prominent on 80-81Specials and Standards.

Yeah, it's aftermarket.
Doesn't fit very well, came with the bike.

I'll deal with that eventually
