Thanks to you all. I did go on a ride one day this week. But I have to admit that it was not on an XS11! Yes, I was a traitor for a day on a BMW K1200GT. Bike is superior in many ways to ours and is a LOT faster. Then again, it has today's state of the art technology - kinda like our 11s did 35 years ago.1981 XS1100H Venturer

Mine will be sold as soon as the final drive is replaced, at less than 70K miles. They seem to take after Chrysler, in that quality is not controlled, and some bikes run for ever, and some never run that long.....This from a BMW expert who works on the local CHP bikes, as well as the old BMW's.Ray Matteis
