Every fall the XSSE Rally covers the Dragon, among the other memorable roads in the area.
I went for my first time last year.
Check it out in the Rallies Forum here on Channel 11.

yep, we ride it.
Heading back home to Atlanta after attending XS North up in Brockville Ontario ...... and its Day Ride close to home for some of us.
Its only 24 miles from our September SE Rally at the Iron Horse in Stecoah; so 'the Dragon' gets ridden.
Plus, we put both Dragon & Cherohala Skyway on the rally ride routes. Come join us XSives in September.
Tod posted some video he shot in 2013 when the guys rode in from Texas & Oklahoma to attend the SE Rally.

Such a beautiful area to ride. There is no room to sight see on the dragon unless you want to end up off the road. Many entertaining videos to prove it.
