    Car Show pics

Hi all. Hope it's going well.

I haven't been here in a long time, but I saw a car at a show last weekend that I thought you might like. In fact I know you will like it.

    1959 Morris Minor

Might be, John. I posted the last pic just so everyone could see the way that the XS brain box was wired up. I didn't build the car, but the guy who did is the brother of the guy on the right in the first pic. They have built a couple of dwarf cars and threw this puppy together a few weeks ago. Sez it is already for sale, but I didn't ask how much.

Good thing it is light weight because obviously there is no reverse.

            Neat

Pretty Cool, hope they find a way to keep the battry charged up as the bikes system wont keep up with the lights etc on the car at night at least. Is that the gas tank looks like 1 gallon He He not gonna go far between fill ups lol. I bet they doubled if not even more , the horse power of what the car had with its old motor. Pretty cool to see an xs motor in a car though!!..................MITCH

                XS MM

Brings back memories. The first brand new car I ever owned was a 1957 Morris Minor 1000. Black with red leather upholstery. Pulled 50-55 MPG all the time. Back in the good ole days when it cost less than $5.00 to fill it.
I remember driving from Toronto to Regina Sask. for $65.00.

                  Re: XS MM

WOW. 50 MPG!! how was that car for power? It just amazes me that our "modern" cars have not improved on fuel economy any more than they have.

i would like to get another (smaller) motorcycle that got better mileage. Though 33 MPG on my XS is still quite a bit better than my car... i would love to have something that got over 50 for my frequent trips between lincoln & omaha. if it were a car that would be even better. maybe i will start looking for one of these morris minors !

Hi again. I was deleting files off my ISP's server & I ran across the files for the Morris Minor thread that I posted a year ago. So for the new members, take a peak at the links before I delete the files in a week or so.

Hope everyone is having good summer on the road.
