  • XS visiters

stopped by our home while they were out crusin' about the country. They were J.W. Hughes and wife Lisa who came up over Red Mountain Pass in their Jeep and visited for bout an hour. Thought it was very nice of them to drive out of their way and come this direction. They then were headed back south to Farmington, N.M. Always nice to get to visit with fellow XS riders, no matter what time of yr. it is.

Knew he was in Silverton but didn't know they were going to head up your way.

Yuppers, they called us from Silverton and gave us a 'heads-up'.

Thanks Brant! You and Anita were a welcome sight in the freezing cold. Even in a heated vehicle, your winters are a sight colder than we get in San Antonio!

We are back home now from our adventures - last day was driving in the snow ahead of the 3 storms that have probably been hitting you. Your street was already barely passable - next time pay your taxes and they might plow it for you

Hope to get back up there again sometime soon. It was pretty - though Silverton seemed a might less cold this time than the last time I was there in May!

Most welcome.......anytime John! I'm sure it was way less colder in a cage than up on two wheels. Subdivisions don't ever get plowed here, as there's always vehicles parked on the street. Maybe cause the snow is normally gone next day or just too much liability and inexperienced plow truck drivers. BTW, was more snow here than we've seen in the past 15yrs., least here in the valley!
