Even one guy I considered a friend. He wrote and asked if I had a #2 carb so he could get another bike going so he and his son could attend an upcoming rally we were going to. Tore apart a good bank of carbs and sent it to him free... No-show at the rally and never heard from him again.

I hope that soon you are like me. Not bitter, not angry, just wiser. Make it your New Year's resolution!
Some people just don't have any Class! I have had parts offered to me,sent to me,,, first..Then just have sent shipping charges in return. Amazing place this is......

      No good deed goes unpunished

We used to open our house to a guy who we thought was a friend. The first time I couldn't help him out, he quit talking to me for three days and then told me how selfish I was being by not taking time out of my schedule and helping him out even though there were other options available to him.
Some people you help out and they begin thinking they are entitled to more than they really are.... shame people have to be that selfish.

You just have to be willing to chalk up the help you give to either, you being a good person without expectation of reciprocation (and often, gratitude), or let it tear you down.

      I hope your situation improves.

Well I went to his place, installed the battery, and told him how disappointed I was and told him if anyone is getting screwed I was because I spent gas money running back and forth. His girlfriend gave me money for gas, and I told him he had better look what I was doing because installing a battery is like bike 101.He watched and then the bike started and off I went.Never again I tell myself.

Seen this on Facebook earlier today. Seems it might apply to your friend...

Well development has priority's too! Now you all know the story about the body parts arguing over who was in charge. If not !!! Once upon a time the body got into a discussion about who was in control. The brain said I should be because I do all the thinking. The heart said no its me because I supply blood and the brain fails if I stop. The stomach said I digest food and so on and on it went with every body part till finally the ass**** said you are all wrong I am in charge. All the body parts replied you are just full of **** and laughed at him. Being the ass**** he was he just puffed up and quit doing anything. In a few days the brain started hurting the heart could barely function the stomach was about to bust and so was the dilemma with all body parts till they admitted that the ass**** is and always will be in charge.
To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.
