I'm with you, Greg. I get off after a long ride with aching back, throbbing knee, and a very sore butt. The bike seems to be talking to me saying, "Get back on!"

n aw.............just perfect here with the 63degree temp. .........makes for 'just right' ridin' weather IMO. Gonna pass on that also till hopefully middle of Nov. Won't be any snow at the elevation here, just a bit cooler temps. Either will be cold-cold overcast (20 degrees) or bright sunshine and mid fifties by time kickstands are up for the ToyRun first Sat. of Dec.........brrrrr.....BTDT Two years prior.

Like what Harry's sig line says...
"The voices in my head are giving me the silent treatment."

        To that, I add...
"It's not the voices in yer head that concern me, it's the 3rd person conversations you keep having with 'em!"

Greg had never before had the pain you speak of but last year had to suit up in gear and ride in steady rain for three hours rush hour traffic leaving Iron Horse. After a while you sweat and your rump is wet and then them cars slamming brakes yo yoing around can cause a little tenseness on that new oily hard top in construction areas and them little puddles you hit. Point is that razor blade feeling was with me even 5 hours after we were out of the rain. So yes have felt it want no more of it but I still love the ride.
To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

I gotta say, I have bad discs, one new knee, one marginal knee, one totally mauled foot, rheumatoid arthritis, etc....have owned twenty some bikes, the xs eleven is THE most comfortable bike I have owned thus far...big frame, cushy seat, roto tiller bars(with grip Puppies)...highway pegs for position changes...fairing......although I've yet to put 3 or 400 miles on in a day with it...200 has been very tolerable.....i always look forward to riding it....oh and I hate winter....
