At the moment I am fitting a double disc and Brembo's to a 2015 Triumph Thruxton. As the master cylinder is 11mm in stock form my guess is the volume of the pump will not be sufficient as it now must activate 8 pistons instead of only 2. Triumph made a very clever (?) master cylinder which incorporates the part in which the right hand side handlebar electrics are (starter button and so on) . As I want to leave that as stock as possible my idea is to bore the mc again to 14or15mm or 5/8". I am now in doubt of how the pressure is applied.. The piston in the mc has two seals: one on the lever side and one on the brakeline side. Is the pressure generated by the brakeline side seal movement or by by the volume between both seals?
