  • Another fire!!

Just a note for those outside California.
I was just watching the SF news and they reported that there is a new fire in Lake County. The BAD news is that Cobb, the town Jesse has his micro-brewery and bar in, has a MANDATORY evacuation order! I just hope Jesse and his family are all OK, and the house and business make it through this. As of tonight Pacific time, NO CONTAINMENT on the fire, and it went from 50 Acres to 10,000 Acres in a few hours.
Jesse, we are all pulling for you!!

        Ray,

Do you have Jesse's cell number?

He visited the Forum last week, but hasn't actually posted anything in almost 2 months ...

So, he may not see a PM from someone here (especially considering the circumstances).

If you (or any other member here) has his number, perhaps a call is in order?

I'm anxious to know if Jesse and his family are indeed safe ... hoping and praying they are!

          Oh, no ...

I just read an update from about 2 hours ago ... it stated that the fire had grown to over 25,000 acres.

And it also reported that homes in the town of Cobb had been destroyed by the fire ...

I don't have Jesse's phone number, but I'll give him a call IF I can find it. I DO know that Cobb, as a town, is no longer there. The people trying to get out had flames all around the cars as they left, with all the buildings going up as well.

I found the Mutt & Jess Brewery Facebook page had an update:

To all our cobb family we are safe. Hoping to get into the restaurant later today as we have had it confirmed it is still standing. We will make it a hub with a community
message board, boxes of donations and if nothing else a place to sit down and have a good cry. I'm not sure when the power will be back on but we will do the best we can to at least provide drinking water and such.

So even if they cannot yet get back in, they & their building is safe. Our West Coast members please plan rides in the area asap to help bring business back to a suffering community.

                    John,

Thanks for that report ... so glad to hear Jesse and his family are safe.

Sounds like he is already trying to do whatever he can to help others ... that says a lot about him.

So many people's homes destroyed ...

THANK YOU to all the firefighters who have risked their lives to battle this fire.
