  • Limie Accent Moves On

After much cleaning, powder coating, ceramic coating, repairing, etc., I decided to sell Limie Accent. Not to worry - Limie has remained "in the family". The new owner is Steve Scott. Some of you may not know Steve. Steve owns several of Bob Jones' custom bikes +1 more. Steve and I both agree that Limie Accent could not have found a better home. Limie is now back with some of its brothers and sisters. Steve is one of the nicest XSives out there. He and I both will be at XSSoutheast 2015. I truly miss Limie Accent and thoroughly enjoyed owning a part of the Bob Jones legacy!

Mike that is a great picture of Bob (and the Navy bike!) where did you find it? Its not in the book. Did you take it?

I'm glad Limie Accent went to Scott. It will be cared for.

This and other pictures came from Larry Zagalik. I believe that he worked for Bob and participated on many of the customs. He sent the pictures to me in May, 2014. I assume that they are ones he took.

              Here are a few more:

                Limie Accent

One correction. My brother Alan and I actually purchased Limie together. Between the two of us we now have 5 of Bob Jones bikes .

                Street Sleeper
                Limie Accent
                Both SSR bikes
Custom touring bike, black in color.

We ride these bikes and keep them clean!!

Mike did an incredible job of refreshing Limie accent. We can't thank him enough for the opportunity to own it.

And always thanks to Karla Jones for the opportunities she gave us.

                We are XS1100 nuts!!

See you all at the Iron Horse.

                  Hey Steve,
Congrats on one fine bike. That bike will always have a special place in my heart, because Jeremy owned it.

He rode it from Texas to Eureka Springs, Ar. the last trip he and I took together. He was really proud of it. I remember telling him to please be careful, as he left for home. He lived in the DFW/ Arlington area, and ya know how they drive there! Lol.

Then, after Jeremy passed, my friend and riding buddy Trbig owned it, too.
So, yes... I feel a special connection to "Limie".

I agree with ya, Mike did an outstanding job cleaning it back up. I was blown away how beautiful it was last year at XSSE. Bravo, Mike... on a job well done!

I think it's cool, Steve, that you and your brother were able to acquire it, and it's now in a great place with it's "family".

It was great to see your awesome collection of Bob Jones bikes and get to meet you last year. Hate I won't be able to make it there this year to see you all again, but hope you guys have an awesome and safe rally.
                  Congrats!

                  Take care, and ride safe!

                    Oh...
And the Navy bike is a special one for me, too!

My friend Russ owned it, and now my buddy JW.
I've ridden now on 2 multi-thousand mile trips with JW on that bike, as well as a couple of rides with Russ.

Looking forward to even more miles, as soon as it gets it's heart transplant!

(Couldn't believe his engine grenaded on him just shortly after he and I went our separate ways coming back from our Zion trip recently. It was running like a champ almost the entire trip... and then it didn't! )

Just one of those freak deals, I guess.

The post from when Jeremy (RIP) first got it from Karla. The pics have vanished but you can tell he was proud of it.

We got to ride with him when he was on it in Arkansas at least once. He could make it walk and talk even on old tires.

I've still got that green helmet he got from Karla to ride it back to Texas. He didn't like it so he gave it to me. It fits my daughters perfectly.
