  • Two of my rides

Brother and I took the SF and LH to the "wings and wheels" event last weekend. Just so you know I do ride them.

Where are the ribbons you should have won for your "Classic Entries"?! Great looking machines there, I would think you would have had lots of the folks in the viewing crowd gathered around to gaze at your machines and think that they were part of the 'wheels' part of the show!

      Sharp

+1 Those are two sharp looking Specials. Plane is not to shabby either. Is that blue car a 57 Bel Air?

        Well

we didn't enter anything, just rode up, parked and walked around looking at all the old cars. There was some nice ones there, all either original or done up. Yes that was a 57, but you should have seen the GTO's. I loved those first ones. Guy had his original bill of sale $2157.30 in 1967.
When we were walking back, there was a bunch of people around our bikes and I though one of them had fallen over or something, but they were just taking pictures. So many people say,"man I remember those bikes, the kicked a.." Or what year is that, then stare at you when you tell them.

Or they say, "My dad/brother/cousin/uncle/friend had one of those."

But my favorite is the blank stare (at the bike) that seems to last forever when you tell them what year your bike is. And then, "No way, man! Really?"

          "Yes ... really."

Nice spot for the pic, Mack ... and, of course, your bikes look fantastic!

            Was that an airshow Mack?

              No Dean

the event was held at the national air museum. It had to be 100 degrees that day so everone parked all around the planes then sat under the wings for the shade. It was a pretty good turn out. All I had was my cell phone, which you can't see the screen in the sunlight so I didn't get many pictures.

                  Hi Mack,
Wish I had a) known about this event b) had a working motorcycle to attend c) was probably busy with some other summer activity anyway.
