  • forward controls on XS11

I had a look at the positioning and placement of forward controls. Does anyone have some good pictures of placement of forward controls? I know how to make them operate but am unsure as to where to put them. Even a drawing of forward control placement would be nice. Thanks

    Hey Bones,

Here's an example of some tinkering I did when I put some on mine! Might give you some ideas. I made my brackets that bolted to the engine mount bolts vs. using some sort of U clamp design.

Try not to laugh too hard when you see it! A search for Forward Controls will probably yield you other threads where you will find other photos and examples.

No laughing matter. I'm 6ft (exactly) so can relate to the pain of sitting ontop of the pegs. I had a look at your design and think it might work for what I had in mind. Also like the idea of having my OEM pegs still there for when I do mountain passes. Thanks TC, if you don't mind I am going to play around with your design and fit them onto the Bobber. You of all people will understand with the lowered seat, the OEM footpegs on a Sunday cruise will be a killer. I sat on her in the garage while designing the cooling system and had to drop my legs to the floor first before being able to get my legs going again. Added it was about a 3hrs sit down aligning everything and getting the molds ready.

TC Bros makes a set for the XS11. I had a set and ended up selling them. They mounted to the lower engine mounting bolts. Maybe this link will help. They had the instructions on there somewhere as well.

I have the TC Bros controls on my 1100. They look great and work very well.
