Not to detract from Motoman but has anyone been in contact with Dean? I'm not sure what his background is but if he is not military, seeing something like this will make a mark. Even if he is reletively stable in most cases, seeing a friend and a riding companion go down like this can alter a person. Can someone close check on him?

Mack, he's probably not too far from me (within 3 hrs) depending exactly where he is but I do not have any contact info. I see he was on here earlier today and made a comment in the motoman thread... I see he's in the health care profession but related to eyes... Maybe someone who has his contact info could reach out and make sure he's doing ok. Nice thought of you Mack.'79 XS11 F

Mack...Dean has been through this before...He went out there to Colorado for an ST-Owners event called RockSTOC in Ouray CO. He was teaming up with Brant as Brant is also an ST1100 owner so Dean, Brant and Myself along with a few other people are cross members on ST-Owners and XS1100.com...Dean has posted here as he is on the road making his way back home to upstate NY...
I am sure at the STOC event the folks there were able to help him deal with those unfortunate events...
But nonetheless Dean...I hope you are holding up well and able to get yourself home safely...1980 XS650G Special-Two

I got a PM from him a little while ago and he's on his way home. I'll ask him to touch base when and as he can.

Ya, we are all tough at our age. eat nails, spit out sparks, that sort of thing. Be nice if someone could sit for a couple hours and have a beer with him and just let him vent. I've been trashed too but I can still smell then concussion sometimes, just watching tv. Brain is a funny organ!mack

Hi guys. Just saw this. Your concern is much appreciated. For now I'll just include the pm I just sent off to Scott:
"I actually stopped at a Best Western as storm clouds approached and feel like I'm livin' in luxury. Just west of Oklahoma. Plan to ride towards the sun tomorrow. Using the motel computer.
I'm ok. Just a bit tough sometimes to stay focused on sites I'm seeing, as I tend to drift off into accident and hospital stuff. Had to fix non working rear brakes ( empty master cylinder???) this morning. Thankful it didn't happen on Pike's Peak!
I'm not going to do a post about me, with what Brants' dealing with, but feel free to pass this along (maybe just copy/paste this?) Scott. Maybe some of the East coast pals are wondering."80 SG
