I hate to double post, but I'm kinda proud of how ol' Twlite turned out, and the fact that I figured out how to post the pics on the first try. I posted them in my It's Alive post, but I thought the post might get buried soon. There will be more later, but Webshots will only allow 5 uploads per day using their free service. Enjoy, and I'd love to hear your comments.

Thanx Guys
I really appreciate all the kind comments. SWMBO and I put a lot of time in on that job, and American Airlines paid me so well to work on it, that I feel I should put an AA decal on it, and give them a little free advertising...or notI want to do the rest of the bike no. It's been 12 years sice I restored it, and it's showing. I'd like for the rest of the bike to look as good as the engine. Oh, yeah, It DOES run as good as it looks
That FJ had better beware. I'll try to get some more pics of it up on Webshots soon.
Thanx again.Comment

Do you know what brand headers are on your bike? I have the same ones on my 79 and would like to get a new set.Walt

Walt, they are Jardines. If you look on the outboard side of the mounting tab where the muffler mounts to the foot peg bracket you should be able to see the word Jardine stamped there. I believe there is a P/N there also, but that just may be the P/N for the mufflers, and not the header. The mufflers are slipons. That's where I found it. The pipes were on Organ Donor when I bought it. That was one of the reasons why I bought it. Thanks for the kind words. I have added some more pics to the album also.Comment

I did them myself. I used VHT brand of engine paint. The instructions recommended baking the finish in the oven @200 degrees for an hour. The engine is actually the original engine from my bike. I swapped it out with an XJ engine about 7-8 years ago.Comment
