bad guess Tod... But it is funny that every single deaf friend rthat I know loves and rides their Harleys...and yes they're pipes are real loud...the visceral nature of HDs is the reason that 99% of deaf bikers ride HDs. I only know one deaf friend who does not like HDs...the rest are cult followers

      Hi-Vis yet again

I have a BiLT jacket that is Day-Glo yellow and white trim made of ballistic nylon. It has black mesh vents in the forward part of the arms and front where air flows in and the same on the back for the air to exit. It has armor in the elbows, shoulders and spine. It is surprisingly comfortable when in motion. I wore this jacket in the California and Arizona hot summer deserts and was just as comfortable as if I just in a shirt. Now that I am here in North Carolina it is even more comfortable. Rush hour traffic is not my friend however. I ware this jack in stores and such and people often ask me how I can stand the jacket when the temperature is approaching 100. I am always happy to explain its virtuous.
Prior to this BiLT jacket, I used a yellow denim vest with reflective strips on the front and back. I did this for myself and to ride on the nearest military base required a "hi-vis" vest. Mine was one of a kind and the only one that I know of that they allowed me to sew USMC, AMA, Nam Vet and such patches. Being a retired ol' fart surely had something to do with it.
My great-granddaughter is fan of the Transformer movies and she called me and black Monster, Bumblebee.

Hey FYI, taste of Chicago is this weekend. Avoid LSD (Lake Shore Drive) at ALL costs, it's gonna be a S*** show. Or, go if you like crowds and a ton of awesome food. Yeah, go, everyone should go once.... he said maniacally.
