I love the looks of the FJ and the speed can get the heart rate up. .
Now that this one is about done, it will be time to start on the XS. It has been in "time out" since it hurt me. lol.
I think i am going to strip all of the hard bags off of it and ditch the big fairing. It was awesome on the freeway, but I like the way the bike handles lighter without all that stuff. Go through the carbs and the entire brake system, add a headlight back on it, and it will be ready to go. Will probably need a new battery as well.
Gonna go from this look
back to this one
except I am going to replace the headlight with a round one to fit the windshield better.Harry

Harry...just giving you a hard time...I cant say i like the paint scheme but I've owned 2 FJ1200s and they are great bikes... The windscreen on Swamp Thing is Plexistar...it does an adequate job of keeping the headwinds off your upper body but it still allows alot of air to get around it...a big difference than your Harley fairing for sure...1980 XS650G Special-Two

The windshield I have is a Memphis Shades brand. Very nice quality. I happen to love the way the paint came out. Good thing it is my bike and not yours, huh.Harry

Good to hear you can get back on two wheels again! Still like seeing pics of THAT set-up on the bike. IMO, I'd leave it and have the FJ to fill the more spirited riding. Does look good in either attire though.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

Harry,
Great to read posts from ya again.
Like the bike! Looking forward to seeing it in person.
Glad to hear the legs getting better, too.
