  • Deciding to Re-Paint

Well, after cracking that side cover in-half, I decided there was no real way to cover it up, so it gave me reason to re-paint the bike. Bought all the supplies except the paint. Buddy is a PPG Territory Manager, and recommended Shopline Plus on a budget. Quoted $225 for base and clear. Bought $50 worth of sandpaper, and $150 worth of HVLP stuff. I'll be using the same color I have, but plan-on doing the dirt tracker theme. I contemplated many colors, but I knew I'd miss my yellow if I went a different color. Will update thread when all is said & done.

I was a little afraid you were getting rid of the yellow! Good luck man!

Sounds like a fun project and you are right on track.....no pun on the dirt tracker thing.

Take plenty of time to get your prep work dead on. Everything I have ever painted yellow seems to show up any little defect, sort of like black does.

Post Pictures as you go along!

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
