I do not have a problem with either the signage nor the cameras at all. Loss prevention has made this necessary.
I do have a problem with self check outs! I always leave the stuff sitting on the counter when I find that is all that is available. People are unemployed because of these monstrosities. As theft prevention drives up prices, so does unemployment in an area.
I am old and grumpy and set in my ways. If I wanted to do self checkout I would, but I won't. I also want bags with my purchase which seems to be out of order as well.
Oh well! I take my purchases elsewhere, even if the cost is a few pennies more more. Oh and I am Stupid about it as I WILL pay twice as much to not shop at these self checkouts. Just for those that want to point that out

      Hi Rasputin,
my experience with self-checkouts is that they are employee positive.
It takes more staff to guide the customers in their operation than it would to provide operators for normal checkouts.
At least, it does when I try to operate the effin' things.
Perhaps your best way to get your store to ditch those annoying devices is to act dumb when you try to use them.

That well may be Fred but every time I get there... if there are any attendants at all... they are looking after 6 lines of self checkouts. I would rather put pins in my eyes, or pay more, or have someone else do the shopping. My wife hates that part.

The last time i went to walmart the checkout lady was so frail and weak...she had to work and she told me her husband makes more on disability at home than she did on the job...
when we moved to NC it became really clear to me how walmart got so big as the stores in the south are huge megastores ...I only go once in a while mostly for prescription drugs which are much cheaper than going to any other pharmacies...ironic how those truly poor have made the Waltons rich...
