    Blinc Bluetooth

I just got a helmet with Bluetooth and I've been fooling around with it. I can hear music fine and voice dial works...........kinda, and I can hear the phone ring just fine, the issue is I can barely hear the callers voice for some reason.

Volume on the helmet is maxed and so is the in call volume on the phone.

Anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

Greg- That'll fall in the category of "u get what u pay for". Torc helmets, etc. have that fault. Look into Sena headsets for flawless BT connections.

The headset seems fine as far as music, and as I said the ringer for the phone, but I can barely hear the caller voice on the headset.

      That doesn't make sense.

You may have to up the volume on the phone. My android has a volume for the ring, and a second one for the voice.

The "in call volume" is the voice volume.

          That's what is confusing me.

My phone has 2 different volumes, one for bluetooth calls and one for the regular hold the phone to your ear type.

As-soon as you connect to a bluetooth device, the bluetooth volume supercedes all volume, since the volume output is going to the bt device.

That is true Ian. Just making the point. When mine connects to a Bluetooth device it defaults to 50% volume no matter what.

                      Greg,
                      Does Blinc use in-helmet speakers?
If so, the usual main cause for low volume level is speaker placement.
I used to think Scala's had low volume. Then I discovered how critical the speaker placement is!

Not just making sure it lines up with the ear canal, but how far away from the ear it is also makes a huge difference.

The farther away it is, the lower the volume, and the tinnier it sounds...little bass. I usually solve this by adding velcro between the helmet and the back side of the speaker, until I get it as close as I can comfortably stand it. Also helps cut down on the outside noise. For these reasons, I switched to a G9X, and now use ear buds. Volume is awesome, music rocks with full bass response.

The other reason some have low audio is simply inferior speakers and their size.
                      As expected...size does matter. Lol...

I actually figured it out Bob. The in call volume can only be turned up DURING a call and only on the Bluetooth unit itself. I can hear now.

I think this can be paired with your Scala for intercom too.

some bright light decreed that the volume on the android phone was too loud so they now come with an app called "acoustic warning " that lowers the volume on your phone so you don't hurt your ears although to my severely damaged hearing is a pain and i cant get enough volume if you can disable "acoustic warning " it might help although your music is ok it might not
