Mo,
There are no words I can say that will ease your pain. When my Mom passed away, it was devastating to me.
With time, I learned to deal with losing her ... but even now, many years later, I still think of her each and every day ... with loving, fond memories.
It sounds like you took such loving care of your Mom over the years ... Try to remember her as she was before the Alzheimers.
You have my deepest condolences, Mo ...
And please know that you have people who are praying for you and your family.Marco

I'm sorry MO. For a while you'll feel numb but in the big picture, it's better this way. Enjoy the memories of her youth and vigor and the good times you shared. My heart goes out to you. I'm the sole survivor of my family. Had to bury them all so I know how you feel. In time you'll laugh again.mack

I'm sorry to hear that. There's something about losing a parent, especially one's mother, which is upsetting. One consolation I found was realising that it's in the natural order of things and better than a parent outliving his or her own children. Alzheimer's is awful too. Condolences.XS1100F 1980 European model. Standard. Dyna coils. Iridium plugs. XS750 final drive (sometimes). Micron fork brace. Progressive front springs. Geezer regulator/rectifier. Stainless 4 into 2 exhaust. Auto CCT (Venturer 1300) SOLD. New project now on the go. 1980 European model.

Sorry for your loss.
My Mother is 78 years old and has Alzheimers, my father looks after her paid to do it by the state as its cheaper than putting her in a state home, I wonder if he is enjoying his new carrer he started at 80 years old.
Problem now is he is shutting us out, I ask him if we can help but refuses, pride I think. We visit sometimes, she has good days and bad, sometimes she doesn't recognise us..
Hard to say but sometimes I think death is a release, not sure I'll think that way when it happens, still my mom.
Hang in there Mo, thoughts are with you.
P.S. its my dads birthday today.Tom

Like everyone is saying there are really no words. Having been there and done that with the Alzheimer's thing, I know your pain first hand, brother.
But rest in the knowledge that time heals all wounds. Condolences.Mike Giroir
