A little sumpthin' to look forward to for those that mother nature has under her wraps.

For me, this one always captured it best:

riding a vintage bike is extra enlightening

Riding and old bike adds another dimension to your senses. All the while riding your senses are listening , feeling for a quiver, a pulse out of the order of mechanical synchronization. With every non-pulse of dis-order, you mentally calculate the distance you can physically push your steed should it fail to deliver you to your intended destination. Can I make it , will I make it ? Why didn't I take the new bike ? How much will this cost to fix, do I have spare parts on board, or at home? No, just minor misfire and all is well as more miles get put behind you. The miles are like money in the bank, like a stone foundation enabling you to forge ahead and smell the vegetation in the wind. You did your maintenance, put on fresh tires and feel confident the old gal will not let you down. Oh crap, did I grab my cell phone ? The questions still linger as you keep on truckin. It is worth the trip dude as they say, we are all there as soon as we mount up the old steed and hit the go button. Riding with the extra dimension added to our senses makes it all worth while when the trip is over and only good things have happened to us . The rain was avoided, the rain gear is still dry, the starter button is still in its little hole and both side covers remain attached ! What a ride that was, gonna do it all again tomorrow.
