I was LAZY. Didn't want to waste time calling people or driving around.
On the advise of bikerphil I contacted keys4urride.com

Just gave them the Lock Number and XS1100.
Great Service. Fast. That was back in July 2013. They used PayPal.
Three (3) keys with shipping was $23.50. Lazy yes, but easy too.

Your local Yamaha dealer has the info you need if they will take the time to look.

I lost the one key I had for my MNS in New Mexico on a Sunday. Lucky I was using a trailer to haul it and some other gear, so I hotwired it and got it back to the hotel. Two days later in Scottsdale, AZ I went to a locksmith in Phoenix and had two keys in about 10, and for about $10! I DID bring in the ignition so I could test the keys. Now I keep a spare in my wallet on trips....

Best by far... on the internet,, THE key men

I get Yamaha blanks from them for 5-9 bucks. They will cut key if you have the code. Used them twice in the past.

If you are looking for a Yamaha blank most use Yamaha 1216 or 1115. They are Ilco brand Yh34 and Yh33.
