There is a reason
I keep two different types of fire extinguishers on hand and that bike fire is why. I love my CO2 extinguisher because it will knock out a gas fed fire like that.
I've knocked out small oil, electrical and gas fires with a hose before but it was just luck and fast action before they became a real problem that would have needed professional assistance.
The CO2 extinguisher sits next to me with the pin pulled when I'm in the shop working on the bikes now to stop problems before they get out of hand.
I felt really sorry for the guy with the hose, he was trying.79 SF & 80 LG MNS

My wife laughed at the fire extinguisher I put nearby when I fired up my XS11 for the first time.
But I know stuff happens.-Mike
