Veteran's Day

As Chaplain of Post 153, American Legion, Pittsville, WI, and on behalf of our members, I am grateful for all the thanks and recognition we have received this Veteran's Day. We did our annual programs at our local elementary and high schools, and ALL our attending members were again amazed at the wonderful welcome we received. When I came home from service in 1963, and up until 1990, returning service men were not welcomed. How much has changed!!!! And for the better. When I came home, so many people asked me how I liked my paid vacation from the government. My answer was that I was grateful for what I received. How little did they know.
