  • First Snow Fall

Well yesterday, we had our first snow fall. It didn't last long and was all gone within a couple hours but needless to say this years season is over. Time to winterize the bikes and put them away. Finally I have my hand surgery tommorrow. Anxious to be using both hands again. Seems forever since I've been able to do anything useful!

I know not being able to use your strong hand is hard. It's a good thing we use both hands working on the bikes, the weak one is already somewhat trained. Good luck with the surgery, heal fast !

Very delicate work, hand surgery ...

Mack, I hope the surgery goes as planned ... and I'm sure you'll be back to 100% before you know it ...

I hope the surgery is successful and you regain the use of your hand.

My season ended one tank of gas into my ownership but on the bright side, I'm learning what the PO neglected for so long that I now have to repair and how to do it thanks to finding this joint.

              Thanx guys

For two cents I'd move south. Been a crappy year to ride this year for me. Losing Kenny so early in the season then breaking my hand really put a damper on things. I tried to stuff tissue into my glove to compensate for the loss of grip strength but my hand tired too quickly to make riding safe. I was ok for short hops but that was all. Hardly clocked any miles. Wasn't worth the cost of insurance really. Couldn't even finish a thread for channel 11 I'd been working on. Hope the surgery works. Even if I can get 50% usage back I'd be happy.

But then, you might not have medical insurance, or you would likely pay hefty premiums.

I hope your recovery exceeds your expectations.
