  • Very nice week...

Been here a week in paradise, but as always, all good things must end. We've been in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. We got a condo right on the beach. A shot from our porch..

    A couple of the beach..

With all the tropical places I've been diving at, I'd never been able to see a sea turtle. We saw quite a few here on the islands.

We took a ferry over to St. John. We'd heard all the beaches were spectacular, but that's an understatement.

The roads had the twistiest twisties and steepest elevation changes of any road I've been on, with another stunning beach seemingly around every other turn. Our little rented Toyota Corolla struggled mightily, but managed.

    Me and my better 3/4.

The water was as clear as pool water. My son snorkeling with me...

About to head to the other side of the island for one more day at the beach, then home tomorrow afternoon. It's been a fun trip. Can't wait until my next vacation! Sorry I missed XS East this year, but I have to say honestly that it's been worth it. lol.

Great place to dive! I've only been there for "one day" stops on a cruise ship, but I still got in a two tank dive. Living on the WEST Coast, I'll be on Oahu the end of this month for 10 days. I plan on two days of diving, if the better half doesn't mind.
Oh, once home, you NEED a two hour ride to "readjust" to reality.

No anniversary.. That's in May. But.. the next vacation we are blaming on her birthday in October?

Thanks Phil. I'm sure I'll make it again soon. Would have been tough to see Limie I think, but it looks like Mike is taking great care of it. Glad nobody got to visit all of Greg's nurses from last year.

Yeah, most of us gotta hurry back so we're not late for work. Tod has to hurry back so he's not late for his next vacation.

That's true, but you have to remember...I haven't talked to you since around the first of the year....?

So, the anniversary wishes are belated...just a bit.

Tod, Limie looked brand new. Mike has her looking absolutely beautiful.
He's done a great job with her.

It was cool to not only see 5 of Bob Jones' bikes together again at one place, but all of them looking so good. Even better was getting to meet and ride with Charlie Haas and his wife Barbara. They told stories about old times with Bob at one of our rider's meetings.

The Navy bike ran there and back great, too.

Steve Scott had his 3 looking fantastic, too.
Hate ya missed it. We had a great time. Sure missed you being with us, man.
But, I totally understand! Great to see you got some quality time with your family.
