  • after prostate surgery

Its been several days since the radical prostatectomy and I'm in some discomfort still but mending day by day....I will get results from the biopsy of the parts they took out in a month but the surgeon was pleased with his findings so I will hope for the best.....
Miss biking but perhaps in several weeks I can ride again if any of you XSives have gone thru this operation you could tell me how soon you got back to riding!
I was just thinking of how long I've been in the group; the patches I used to send out many years ago, the rallies, the meetings and greetings of XSives over the years....memories.

      Hi, Bruce -

I admire your determination to get back on your bike ASAP after a major surgery like this.

Based on your post, I think you have good reason to be very hopeful about your biopsy results.

My prayers are with you, Bruce, and I hope you have a full recovery ... we need to get you back runnin' strong and riding that XSive bike of yours!

It has been a little over five years ago I went down that road. I think it was two or three months before I was back riding the bike. I pray that your biopsy comes back good and you have a fast recovery.

            Thanks Guys

Thanks Guys for all the support. Its a rough time being so limited in movement as I am but thankfully I'm retired and have the time and support of friends and family like my XS pals to help me thru......so we'll be back on the road in a couple months; I will just go out and run the bike once in awhile and wait. I'm not about to start preaching or get on a soapbox now. You'all have a great summer riding season.

              Hey Bruce,

I copied your note here and put it out to the fellows on the old Yahoo XS Plus2 list....one of the members there is recently experienced, and tried to write to you both via your phone #(not now working/current), and your registered email address hardbounced! Not sure if you've recently gotten a private message from him in the last couple of days. Jim Hamilton/HamJam supposedly may have known of a good email address for you, but I didn't see him post it in the LIST yet. SO....if you'll PM me with your current email address....and/or phone # if you want, I can then pass that on to the fellow so that you two can converse and inform you about things past and to come!
