  • Trade For Service Work

A guy at work wants to trade me a Kerker 4 into 1 for a XS1100 to adjust his vlaves and sync his carbs on a 1980 XS1100. Think it's worth it?

As long as his carbs are clean, no broken tips, valve cover gasket is good, etc., that's a couple hours job easy. Go for it.

I would probably do it for free, if he wants to throw in the exhaust I say go for it!

He is buying parts though right?

You might want to check out that Kirker beforehand. Most of the Kirker 4 into 1's I've seen are beat to hell on the bottom. A Kirker has to be removed to change the oil filter too.

Not mine, maybe with an oil cooler it would.

            Kerker

I have a 79SF and I can do my filter but I do not have oil cooler. I would like to
have a spare Kerker if it is in good shape like this.

I had the kerker on my old 78. It had a cooler and while not totally easy in place certainly doable.
