    Would this work.....

.......when I no longer can hold up either of my 700lb.+ bikes?

You know, I've read a lot about the new FZ-09 ... all the high-tech engineering, torquey engine, agile and nimble handling, great brakes, etc. etc.

Just an all-around great-performing motorcycle in every aspect ... and I'm sure it's an absolute hoot to ride!

BUT, and this is JMHO, why does this bike look like a Transformer?

I just do not like the styling ... at all. Maybe I'm too old-school, but instead of this triple, give me an 850 Special/Midnight Special any day!

I was thinking pretty much the same thing along with, "I wonder what's going to be the first thing to punch a hole in or flatten the exhaust?"

Then I saw the engine cut-away view and I started wondering how many modern parts would fit my XS11 and kind of hoped it sells.

FZ-09 is a cool bike, but wouldn't work for me...I ride too many highway miles at 70+, and no windscreen would get old.

There's an old guy that has one of those tricity type bikes here in Skiatook.
He rides it everywhere around town.
The suspension and steering mechanism is pretty radical...
As the bike leans in a turn, one wheel goes forward of the other...depending which way it's leaned. It's probably more stable than you might think.

                          Can you guys get these...

Took one for a ride in Melbourne last week. Really impressed. Could almost be convinced to trade up the XJR.
1980 SG. (Sold - waiting on replacement)
2000 XJR1300. The Real modern XS11. Others are just pretenders.

Me and my girlfriend just returned from a 6 day blast through Andalucia in Spain on rented bikes. I went on the MT-09 (=FZ-09) and my girl friend on the MT-07 twin. The triple is a true hooligan bike pulling powerwheelies even in third gear, and is even more fun than my 145hp Moto Morini Corsaro 1200. Seat is a horror though, way, way too hard. Best part I think is its sound and howl which are exactly the same as on my Z1300 six!
The MT-07 is much more sophisticated, don't know if you know it in the States? Both bikes were great to ride in the twisties (all 1300 miles of them....). Wiil post some pics asap.
