  • New Second Lieutenant

    Hi All,

Today I received my commission and I'm now a real Army officer! Just thought I'd share some of my good news with all of you. My grandfather was enlisted in the Air Force and today I get to pick up where he left off and continue the tradition of serving in the Armed Forces.

78 E - 2to1 exhaust, dynatek coils, special headlight [SOLD!]
79 F - gas tank refurb, headgasket change, straight pipes, late model carbs, virago lowering shocks, special headlight and gauges, TC fuse block, GSXR-1100 carbs (WIP)

            Congrats

you still have a lot to learn. In the beginning listen to you snco's. They are proffesional soldiers and have been through the grinder. You do that and you'll be a fine officer and credit to your family and country. Proud to know you and good luck .

Well done, D5h1ft, Gabe! Congratulations to you, and thanks for your service. On my way back from L.A. this week, I had the good fortune to sit next to a newly enlisted Army fellow. It was his first time on a plane, ( from LAX), and he was leaving his wife and child for additional training. Choked me up a little. A lot of good men and women watching over our freedom, and we all appreciate it. Thanks for sharing the good news.

Cograts! and as mack stated, LEARN FROM THE SNCO'S!! They will teach you more in your first year than your last two years you put in getting the bar. I had an LT fresh from W.P. when I was in years ago, and he DIDN'T listen to the NCO's. I left early because of him, and I don't think he ever went far, no common sense.
Thanks for serving, and I hope you enjoy whatever the Army throws at you! Oh, and if you REALLY want to have fun, go airborne!
