Too bad the singers of today can't use their voices like an instrument like this. Fred this ones for you.

I've been listening to my old vinyl lately and had forgotten what good singers they were back in the fifties. The bands were all first class musicians as well. I was lucky enough to find these on the internet so I could share with you since the average age of our members is around sixty. Some might remember these. Life seemed simpler, cleaner, better back then without all the electronic baby sitters and privacy invasions.

These singers wearing dark skin were banned from staying in the same hotels they were performing in. Some things have improved since the fifties.Marty (in Mississippi)

Some things
Thats true. Had to use the back door and different water fountains, the list goes on. Canada was never much that way. As a kid I had no appreciation for what was happening around the world. My dad took me to NewYork when I was little. We didn't think anything of sitting down in a black restaurant and trying to order a meal, or sitting beside black people on the bus and chatting them up. We got educated pretty quick by white folks. I still remember my dad telling them" were from Canada so piss off", he was a real big guy and not one to mess with. We got a lot of ugly stares and once got off the bus in a bad part of the bronx by mistake trying to find the zoo. Spent the whole afternoon at a street party and we were the only whites. Never had a problem and they led us back after supper to the correct bus stop with bags of strange food under our arms. They seemed to have so little but made us take it anyway.mack
