Sebastian_99 where do you go after starting a thread and miss the posts about going on a ride?

Sorry you didn't see the chatter!

CZ, rdmcguy and I had a great ride, saw some really cool roads that CZ said we should ride, and did not disappoint.

Hope you can make it next time, with your brother on his XS11!

Must be something in the air up there. I went over to Joes place to check his stable, and on the way back to my house, I filled up.
      44.6 mpg.
And that was after some high speed interstate milage.

A good ride it was. Like the sound of the 79 special with that 4-1 Kerker and pods, rdmcguy! Did you get a read on your mpg? Good meeting you and look forward to more rides.

Other than your motocross roots that had you being a hooligan on the dirt road section, with great control I might add (I am a slow goer on the kind of crappy gravel/dirt/washboard stuff we rode). I agree the overall style and ability of each of us fit well and made for good riding.

CZ- I always get great mileage up in the mountains, I had 46.4 mpg at our fuel stop if I recall correctly. Thanks for the guided ride up to Sphinx Park and seeing the Buck Snort Bar first hand! Remember, from Deckers it's 22 main road miles and then a one mile other road excursion, not 6 miles up the road and a couple more on the other road... .

I am glad it was longer than you recalled, that was some serious good riding on that road.

I'll get the proof of life pic from Buck Snort posted in this thread probably Monday from my work computer.

          Cheers!

To paraphrase, "miles fly when you're having fun", and I just remembered that it wasn't that far over the hill. Musta been having fun.

Joes bull shat is going to be great.

                Bonz,
I had a posting entitled ï'll catch hell for this"
referring to a bike I am fitting with a cow skull, wagging tail and misc. other features to make it look a bull...named El Toro.
Cz and I were brainstorming an idea about making it have the capability to poop out the back.
I think it has been completely deleted from the forums here?????
                Don't know why????
Anyway .....Cz Thanks for your input as well as fixing the connectors on my 78 standard and the gas tank issue on "El Toro"

                      Thanks Phil,
I was hoping to update my progress on Ël Toro in the near future and didn't know where the post went.
Howard, I never thought to check my mpg.
Pics. are great but I look like a runt next to you.

Oh man! I am terrible at checking the site often. I get caught up with work, band and the family and totally forget. Anyways, lets set something up again soon. Howard, you have my number, if I forget to check the forum and miss a long thread about a fun ride, text me!

So far so good, he is much more mechanically inclined than I am so he's fixed it up a lot already since he bought it. Mine on the other hand is causing me a few problems, mostly with my rear brake. I took 105 up to Sedalia and onto 83 to denver this weekend with my wife after I replaced the pads on the rear. When I hit sedalia my rear brake wasn't doing anything and I checked the caliper and I lost all my brake fluid out of the bleeder. I swear I tightened it down alll the way but there was signs of the fluid coming out back there. The ride was successful but a bit nerve-racking without the rear though. Time to see what i messed up.

Did you flush the fluid out when you did the pads? Just curious with a pad replacement what had you open the bleeder? For pressure relief to get the pistons pushed back, I have found removing the MC cover is the way to go.

Live and learn, stuff happens. Make sure the pads aren't contaminated with brake fluid. Otherwise clean it up, put in new fluid, bleed it and get on down the road!
