  • New member! First startup vid.

    Hey everybody,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi..Hi.

The forums have been a massive help rebuilding my bike. Picked up a 79 XS1100 S a few weeks ago and I've been thrashing to get it done.

I don't think I could've rebuilt the carbs without this forum. Just got it running last night for the first time in years. I love how it sounds. Can't wait to go for a ride!

Welcome BG. You'll love the way that 79 runs. I just sold one.

As you can see by my signature I have a 79 engine in my 80 Special.

    Bike sounds good.

I think these may have "aged" a little. On first startup, it spewed rust and dead grass all over my garage. I don't mind the way they sound, motorcycle big block

Got a chance to romp it around the neighborhood b on a temp gas tank. This thing is old school muscle for sure, lots more power than I thought.
