    Congrats, Baz.
    Good looking MNS.

Usually, the only drawback I've noticed on those is the restriction of saddle time you have, thanks to the 100 mile fuel range.

But, you definitely have a sweet one there!
    Ride safe.

Restriction of saddle time isn't a bad thing unless you ride with Cody..

100 miles, walk around a minute, back on the road for another 100. I've ate up a lot of thousand+ mile days like that before.
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

Yes, or unless you're riding in Utah, Nevada, or New Mexico... right?

Then, even a Maxim's range isn't quite enough....
          Damhikijd.

Shoot, Cody used to get agitated riding with me on my Maxim!
150 miles used to get on his nerves.

Course, now I can see why... when a C14's range is around 300.
150's about as far as I care to sit in the saddle for, before stopping for a stretch. My new touring pegs and seat help, though.
It's just nice to have the ability to keep going, if you're in an area that has few stations, like 200 miles + between.

Cody used to get frustrated with me having to stop every 125 miles or so when I'd hit reserve, like when we'd travel to KC to see Bohn, or Eureka Springs, etc.

Hitting reserve around every 85 miles on a Special would get old for me.
There are some states that unless you changed tanks, or added a reserve tank, you just couldn't tour on a Special in, due to the distance between stations being 200 miles +.

But, I realize a lot of folks will never do that, and it's not a big deal at all for them.

For me, it's nice to have a bike that gets 50 mpg, and has a 6 gal. tank.
            I do realize, YMMV.

But, as I said before, Baz, that is a beautiful MNS. Congrats!

Thanks! Started carrying a standard 1 gallon gas can last year but with those I can fit two in the same space!

Nice MNS by the way, looks real sharp. Bet it stands out loud in a group.

Hahaha, guys the whole tank size issue is mute here in the IOM. The Island is 33 miles long and 11 miles wide. I doubt I will run out of fuel getting about. :-)

                      There ya go! Problem solved!
                      Cool, Baz.

At that rate, you should be able to go across once and back once... Still have a third of a tank left!

Maybe these places were what Yamaha had in mind when they designed the Special's tank size...? Lol

On my Special, I can make it to the west coast in only 23 tanks of gas! No detours!
