  • Instrument Cover

This picture shows a cover over the instruments on this bike. I have seen only one other. Does anyone know the story on this cover? Was this an option or factory installed on some models? PS. This bike is listed on Craigslist for parts for only $200. It is in KY. http://westky.craigslist.org/mcy/4375326354.html

That be the factory installed 'dash'. I still have the original one off my Venturer, as I had to remove it when bike was new once I installed the VetterSound housing. Not enough clearance to have both in place.

That shield was used on the 81H to reduce the night time glare from the gauge lights on the windshield, so I have read.

I have been trying to find one for a couple years, haven't gotten one yet. I get horrible glare from my gauges on my windshield.

I'd be glad to help a fellow Pacifico owner out, as I have an extra one on the shelf. It isn't the exact same shape as the stock Yamaha glare gaurd. I have the special hardware to go with it also.

I've had one on my G for years and it's a great accessory. It not only keeps instrument glare off your windshield at night, it keeps sun glare off the instrument at bay during the day. Got it as NOS off ebay for $20 IIRC.
