  • Taking Delivery Finally!

I have recently made a deal for a 1981 MNS (finally). Some of you may remember that I have been looking for quite a while. My search is over. Found this one in Oklahoma.

Not going to get it myself as I usually do. Having this one delivered via uShip. It was cheaper than me going after it.

Very good shape. PO has taken really good care of it. Just a little over 12K on the clock.

Will share some pix ASAP. Supposed to be delivered this Saturday. Can't wait.

        1980 MNS Came Today

The wait ended today. The bike is everything the PO said it was. Cranked right up, sounds good, looks good! Took a couple of pix and though a little dusty from the trip, the good still shines through. I believe I will force myself to enjoy yet another XS1100.

Well done Mike, That looks like an excellent example of a Midnight Special.
Does that complete the set? Your garage must look like a museum

                I don't know, Mike ...

It might be rough to enjoy another great Eleven in your stable ...

Nice find, I,m sure you'll take the best care of it.

Yes, I hope so, And I think that it is safe to say that my museum is starting to look like a garage.

You need one more to have a really complete set .....

                        Another Sweet machine!

not sure how you count a complete set...One from each year? Or one of each model for each year? Any way you look at it you have much to be proud of. Alot of admiration too...so Congratualtions Mike on another fine acquisition!
And Yes you do need a 1982 XJ1100 Maxim to complete all years...

                            Hi max,
lessee now, 3 years of Standards, 3 years of Specials, 2 years of Midnights and a Venturer makes 9.
The XJ would be the start of another set.

Here's the way I see a "reasonable" complete set of "Elevens" - it would consist of 5 bikes:

1978 E - The one and only (Check)
1979 SF - First year Special (Check)
1980 LG - First year Midnight (Check)
                              1981 H - Venturer (Check)
                              1982 J - Maxim (Still needed)
