This bike was done for Motorcycle Classics by Dime City. I think they nailed it!

I love seeing the results, not that the Honda was bad looking originally. Some paint, some patience, and whole lotta feeling creates something truly drool-worthy. No other hobby, (in my mind), comes close to modding/updating an older bike, even car restoration for its end result can't hold a candle to it, (speaking of course from a dollar/time/uniqueness perspective).

I rode one of those 1100F's years ago, a friend owned one. Fast bike. I happen to like them original, just my taste.

This is exactly what my CB1100F looked like:

            http://classic-motorbikes.net/images...ry/cb1100f.jpg

Owned the F for 8 yrs. and enjoyed it immensely; kept it bone stock; performed routine maintenance

and never had a problem; wonderful all-arounder with great power and comfort - this is another one

I hated to sell, but alas, too many bikes and not enough room ... it has timeless styling that still looks good

to this day, IMO. Especially the BLUE one!

Here is a photo from our fall rally in 2008. I like the stock bike too. Still, I think the guys at Dime City did a fantastic job with it.

                  Hi Ken (Newbee) -

30 years ...Wow, that is a shame ... it really irks me when someone allows a great bike like this to just

                  sit somewhere and rot away.

Did he do anything to prepare it for such long-term hibernation?

Does he ever plan to wake it up?

No doubt about it, Marty ... DCC did a really nice job on the build -

And then, of course, there is THIS:
(Just click on the main image to make it larger)

                    http://www.flickr.com/photos/1348178...7619480714676/

It was built by a man named Andreas Georgeades. I'm sure some of you know who he is. He's a former GP racer

who raced at the Isle of Man and World Championship races in the 60's. He later built his own GP racer,

and has even built a few Ferrari-powered motorcycles. The skills needed to pull something like this CBX off are just

mind-boggling to me; it has been dubbed the CBX V12 "Chrome Dream" (that's right, V12)

It's pretty amazing, don't you think?

P.S. I just found out that he began building (in 2012?) a 16-cylinder engine which will apparently power

a new motorcycle he is building ... Incredible!!

Great styling but PIA for practical use, severely reduced steering lock means U turns are out. Just getting out your garage can be a real pain.

Sold my 82 CB900f w/1100f engine a few years back. Had the chance to buy it back, regrettably missed out by 30min...
