However, European or military I doubt they go in multiple centuries! 2013-20014. Something tells me I won't be around to see how his vacation ends!!

On our time cards we write down Day/Month/Year which is unusual to me but it was explained to me that we did it to coincide with our southern business partners. I was told it was the US way of doing it. Never questioned it or cared much, but I guess that info was wrong.
The usual for us is to do Month/Day/Year. I was under a small influence of beer at the time of my posts, so I screwed up a few things like having a hundred years off. Did not mean to make everyone disagree on how to do it.

          Well,

I get to work the entire week, save actual Christmas Day, and only 1/2 days the whole week. I didn't request time off because of concern for how much I might need with my SWMBO's possible/pending possible Oral cancer treatments/surgeries??? I was already down a bit in my PTO days, and didn't want to use up too many too soon.

But now I wanted to bust your chops a little Greg.........you had an extended "Vacation" back in Sept., you don't need another one so soon!

Pretty much Bob. Physically anyway, mentally is still debatable.

Bike's back up and running too. We both still need some cosmetic work.

Well, good to hear, old friend!

The mental and cosmetic attempts would require a major miracle, huh?

                        Hi Greg,
                        no we don't.
                        Rasputin's day/month/year makes sense.
The Canadian government does it backwards to what's sensible with the official year/month/day
It's the US that does it funny by starting in the middle and working outwards.
                        Have a merry 2013/12/25 anyway.

All of those are screwed up to me. Is that the way you speak a date too? The way I write it is the way I speak it.

                          Spoken, December 24th 2013 = Written, 12/24/2013. Only logical.

                          Just sayin'.

I'm with Fred. It's not logical to start with the month. I do it 24 Dec 13 or 24 December 2013. I spell the the month to avoid confusion, and my brain is happy that I put the date in logical order. Microsoft Word insists on screwing it up, and that just plain annoys me. Month first makes no sense.
