    one mans trash is another mans.......... trash.
    People seem to think those xs 650's were /are all that and a bag of chips .
    Having owned three of them myself I can say they were fun to a degree,
    We used to take them flatracking at the local school running track.
    And as a young guy they were "big bikes" to us in the 70's.
    Left close to stock (headers,air filters) they were comfortable and fun .
    But hacked,chopped or bobbed, in my opinion is not an improvement.
    Each to his own I suppose.

      One tart here in the Detroit metro area has a 74 xs 650 on CL. $650 for a rusty frame, and a engine. The frame is bare, and the engine as well. No carbs, no exhaust, no wiring, no seat, nothing. $650 for a boat anchor. Don't get me wrong, I love the xs bikes, but both of these people are out of their minds....

      And with in the world is appealing about a hard tail?

            Fresh paint, new battery, new plugs, carbs are clean but for some reason still floods out. I also have fenders and plastic if needed. Was going to fix but I crashed my other bike. Willing to trade. Dirtbike, tv, computers, truck, make offer

                That set of three in Detroit has been around for years...seriously, years! You would think that perhaps they would figure out the price is unreasonable by now.
