O K- N. MI has been feelin' temps in the teens for highs all week long. No end in sight for at least another week, maybe 20's is all.

Is that all? It was 7*F this AM when I got in my car to go to work. Only about 5" of snow on the ground at my place but 15-30 mins away they have 2 ft and are projecting another 1 ft or more.

          This was forecast for 12/10...

I've been riding almost every day, but need a jacket. However, its the same riding gear I wear in the summer so I nothing really different.
Brent is riding every day too and I met up with him for a couple hours last week. Marty is riding to work every morning before sunrise
-and- he his north of us in the mountains so he has had a few challenges, like helmet fogging over enroute.

Around the US there is just too much snow still on the ground for us to get our usual warm up unless the breezes start blowing off the Gulf of Mexico. Its time for Oklahoma & Arkansas to take care of their ice and snow problem. Then it will warm up here a bit more back to normal range. Good time to get my bike ready for our xs 2,000 mile ride starting Feb 7 to South FLA & Key West.

On the news last night they were showing off Atlanta's new combo snow plow and salt truck. Not sure what just one truck is going to do. Actually it is for the freeways to plow & treat two lanes at one time. $285,000 monster truck but who know When & If it will ever be used?? People get mad if there is a problem so GA DOT spent the money to show they listen. Truth is, if it ever snows here we just wait for the warm up to melt the streets. It ain't 80 but I'm heading out shortly.

Yep. Rain, shine, freezing temps, and I ride every day. Bald tire, sleet, and I still go. They painted new lines on the road yesterday. My route is full of curves and changing elevations. I travel before sunrise, as Jeff pointed out.

There are a few Harley riders here at the plant, but the only motorcycle in the parking lot every day is a very dirty XS Eleven.

I haven't ridden in negative temps.. yet.. but single digits nearly every year. Like Marty, I ride year round unless there's ice on the roads that don't have a wheel path.

Unless I happen to be coming home from a winter trip west.. lol.

Marty, get a new tire. Here in the very cold upstate N.Y. there talking a foot of snow for this upcoming weekend. I'm guessing dump truck season is over for this season. At least everything has slowed to a crawl.
