Wipe New Vinyl and headlight lens treatment

I bought a bottle of this stuff based upon what I've read here...My '04 Pontiac Grand Prix (since sold) had clouded over headlamps...so I used the scrubber and rinsed it off well...When applying the wipe new you are supposed to only wipe an area over ONCE...if you go over it a second time it will smear the clear finish...THEY DONT TELL YOU THIS...so as a result...while the cloudiness dissappeared the lenses were still not clear becaise I went over them a second time... and they looked cheap...my results were mixed and now I dont care because i sold the car...my Volvo has real glass lenses and they dont yellow like plastic
