      Unbelievable

Beware out there!! There are no constraints on them. They can do whatever they want to us regardless of the situation or the law.

Not to break away from anyone's anti-cop rant, but bikers really need to pay attention too! I look in my mirrors constantly for exactly this situation. Coming from a family of law enforcement, you'd be amazed in the change of accountability law enforcement is held to compared to the 60's. I'd call this an isolated incident.

I smell a big settlement for those hit. They cops can't just sweep this crap under the rug now that the news has gotten involved.

This accident happened about 30 minutes from my house and the story was on the 11 o'clock news that evening and they followed up with an interview of the couple on the news the following day. Like most news these days it will only have a 48 hour cycle and then it will become old news. I imagine that in about 3 months the state highway patrol will release their findings on what caused the accident. This is not a very busy highway and other than the occasional deer incident or speeders it could be a very boring road to patrol. What strikes me as being very odd is that in the video the bike is hit in the right hand lane and if you live and drive a lot in Ohio as I do you never see a State Highway Patrol car in the right lane unless they are about to pull someone over as they almost always cruise in the left hand lane. Just today I followed one for over 30 miles on I 75 and he did not get out of the left lane the entire time until he got off at an exit.

Going to take a guess that he was working on the computer while driving. I see cops here in town looking and actually typing on the computers while driving quite often.
