The Mayors office number is 202-727-6300. I called and the response I got was that they were responsible for the camera's working into their office and that the internet feed was sent to an outside agency where the mayors office has no control over what is provided on the internet. I think the Mayors office is being overwhelmed by phone calls!
Everyone please call 202-727-6300 and ask about the looped cameras. I saw this myself on 9-11-13 when the major news channels were not carrying this story. The cameras were absolutely showing old looped feed as I watched the same cars and people drive and walk by. I did not see this one but it is claimed that one of them even had snow on the ground!
Everyone please call, at the very least it will let them know we noticed and do not approve. My cousin Christa Alsip Juhlman also has the following to say after her phone call:
I talked to Barry at DDOT and he said that they had nothing to do with it. He said there are so many calls but that they did not do it.
He cannot direct me to the right place. He said they get over 300 calls a day about this. I told him if they are getting too many calls then get on the news and get out in front of the situation.
If they are not to blame then stand up and say so. He agreed but said his supervisor said no.Greg
