Hi to all my friends here on the forum! I haven't been on for a while...not since I sold the Half-Breed. Just wanted to show off my new baby!
Take care all!

Very nice looking bike. Always likes the old Indians. Saw a mid 40s action off a few years ago would have been very cool to own, but it went for more than my first house IIRC.

I just don't get it I guess. Not trying to be a jerk... but I don't understand what people see in a bike that doesn't go, stop, or turn very well. If I just wanted something that goes straight cross-country and doesn't lean when it turns, I'd ride the train. To each his own I guess, but hey.. it is shiney!
It is good to hear from you though, Jim. Hope things are going well.

I have to admit my XJ was more nimble. But I haven't had any issues with any of what you mentioned. It is actually quicker off the line and except for u-turns pretty good around town.
Maybe it's your skill in handling a heavier bike that is the issue??
But hey, it's ALL good when your in the wind!
Ride safe!!

It's been a long time since we saw you at the TWO rally. We moved it to the Iron Horse in Stecoah. That's closer to you, isn't it? It's XS Southeast, the last weekend in Sept. Read all about it in the rallies section.
If you decide to join us, and we hope you do, just make sure you ride behind Tod, a long way behind Tod.

It is beautiful around there though and lots of great rides I'm sure!
Kansas City.... not so much. lol. Not too far for you to get to northern Arkansas though. WONDERFUL roads. Come on down with us the weekend after next and we'll show you some hairpins and curves where you'll need both lanes for that thing! We'll help you shave a few pounds off of those pesky floorboards for you.

Maybe camping and eating, but that weekend sucks for riding. Any time of year, I'll ride 50 miles out of my way to not have to go through Fayetteville, (Stoplight after stoplight where it takes many cycles of the light to get through each one) but during Bikes, Blues, and BBQ, make it 100 miles.
We usually stay in Eureka Springs, AR. It's just 50 miles away, but since riding from Fayetteville to there would probably double the total miles on many peoples' bikes that show up there, we're usually somewhat safe if we head east from there away from the shiney noise.

There is some really great riding over there too. We can spend a day or two exploring back roads and hardly ever hit the same road twice.
No blues or bbq, and the shiny noise makers are generally pretty thin on those curvy roads though.
