    Researchers reverse-engineer the Dropbox client: What it means

    DropSmack: Using Dropbox to steal files and deliver malware

    By Michael Kassner in IT Security, July 15, 2013, 11:27 AM

    =================================================

    If Dropbox is set to run every time the computer is booted up then watch for any unexpected Dropbox warning and information pop-ups as the operating system loads. Good luck with that.

    If you only start and run Dropbox manually, again keep your eyes open for any unexpected warnings or information pop-ups as Dropbox starts and synchronizes your files and folders.

    I only use Dropbox for stashing things in public that I want to be made public and available for everyone on the planet but that's probably going to change. I never did really trust Dropbox and I don't want some script kiddie messing with my computer while she scarfs down a box of chocolate Mini Bon-Bons and guzzles diet Jolt cola in between watching her favorite Meg Ryan DVDs with her BFF.

      No problem, Rodger!

      All it'll cost you is those Special Editions of "Sleepless In Seattle" and "You've Got Mail!" with the deleted scenes the lol-cats have been hoarding.
