Trip was great. The '11 didn't miss a beat. Had to add a quart of oil every 200 miles. But other than that it was great. I will post pics tomorrow and a trip report when I get time.

    About 900 miles total.

It leaks a bit and #3 burns a BUNCH. It needs valve guides/seals and prolly rings on 3. The underside of my right saddlebag is nasty lookin now.

Thinkin of one of those $150 "Big Bore" kits off eBay this winter..

Who wants to go through all that when all you need is some Magic!

But seriously, at least as far as the rings go, you don't think a quick (or slow) soak with Marvel Mystery Oil or ATF would do the trick? Are you down on compression as well as (apparent) issues with the oil control rings?

RockinD has an SG that the engine was seized when he got it and and had to be busted loose. It used a bunch of oil too. The more he rides it the better it get's though.

I'm thinkin' my #3 is mechanically b0rked. I have 10K miles on it. Several oil changes, Marvel oil, Seafoam and other stuff. #3 has issues. Have a new house deal jump at me so I am in the process of starting to pack and move. Sort of unexpected, but a good deals a deal. AND I get a 6 car finished building/garage for my '78E' to live in now!

Had plans of working on the bike a bit but, packing up tools and garage stuff. lol

Pretty much! Or, I have room to finish my other vehicle projects that I put on hold for 3 years while downsizing due to lack of work. Almost 1 year at the new job and *finally* catching up on stuff.
