My wife came home today very shaken she drives a Buick Regal LS 3800, lights come on as soon as the engine starts like our bikes do. Really pretty dang fast car, good thing, I love when I get the chance to drive it without her. She had the grand kids in the back driving down a main road, 4 lane with neighborhood cross streets all with stop signs. She is in the far right lane and sees out the corner of her eye a van running the stop on the left going fast. Good work on her part, she does not think the van could possibly stop in the median so she swerves to the far right parking lane ( no cars there ) and floors it. The van does not stop in the median and crosses right behind her, she pulls over as she thinks she's been hit (felt a little movement of her car). Watches the van speed away down the side street to far away to get a #. Comes home tells me and I say let's go see, just behind the rear tire to the far rear is an exchange of paint. A light colored streak and below it a black streak, the car body narrows as it goes to the rear but the streaks are about the same all the way from the tire to the rear. She thinks there were 2 women in the van. I think I can buff it out. We motorcycles are not the only targets for stupids !

You're right. It's the bikers that tend to pick out most of the 'stupids' on the road, if for no other reason than to make it home alive. If your wife's not a rider, then I imagine that she's picked up some good driving/riding tips from you.

The incident though, was a hit and run, among other offences, unless of course your wife 'accidentally' swiped something while she was out. But, I'm not for a minute suggesting that she did...

Thanks Guys she is a bicycle rider and a back seat driver both in the car and on the bikes. She's saved me a couple times from getting into a bad situation, I don't give her credit for it though, I'll just avoid the situation and say I saw that.
She's still talking about this one and the kids asked if it was OK to tell mom&dad about it. I'm sure it was the real deal and they were very lucky indeed. I inspect the cars often just found another door ding and a black rubber paint brush like swipe up by the door handle on mine, came right off with Kit scratch remover, hard to figure this one
