The best way to get around Victoria is by bicycle.
I park the bike ( Yami or Bluzu ) about two blocks from my dock, and my bicycle stays on the dock, always chained to something.

Lot of activity in town for the Labour Day weekend.
We head to Roche Harbor on San Juan Island this Sunday.

Can't take a bike to the Butchart gardens though.. unless you're in a lot better shape than me! lol.

And yeah, the ferry from Seattle or Port Angeles is typically where we leave from, though I sure miss the days of the Princess Marguerite.
Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

      San Juan Islands

Was just over there last week in the sail boat.
Roche Harbor to clear customs, Deer Harbor on Orcas, Blind Bay on Walsh and Friday Harbor. Was with a bunch of boats from my Yacht Club.
Unfortunately the weather was crappy. Had rain, thunder and lightning, and fog. A small Brewery in Seattle is making a nice brew. Think it was called Mandy.

Just as an update to this after the trip. I was told that the north road around Lake Superior did indeed have some pretty bad spots. One of the potholes hit actually broke Cruisers windshield in half along with his face shield on his helmet.

So.. not an attack on Canadians or their highways, just this particular one should not be used as an Autobahn for high speeds if you decide to travel it.
