You should look around for a paint shop that does custom work. I took my side covers down to NAPA and the guy there matched it on the spot. Good paint guys are hard to find.
    When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

here's the formula for Macho Maroon. Your local paint shop should be able to
decipher all the numbers and what they mean. It. actually is a 3 part paint.
with a base, mid, and clear coat. good luck!! All mixtures are for pints
      BASE COAT DDL 51197

      MIXTURE FOR BASE COAT
      DMA 362 425
      DMA 358 470
      DMA 310 498

      MID COAT DDL 51198

      MIXTURE FOR MIDCOAT
      DMA312 1
      DMA358 43
      DMA307 74
      DMA360 358
      DMA362 438
      DMA363 479
      DMA310 503
These are all for lacquer and a clearcoat on top.

and from Chris Rawson a few years ago
For all those looking for a paint code to use
I had my tank colour scanned at the local PPG store, this is what they
came up with for a basecoat/clearcoat mix.

      Colour name is Amaranto

Quantities are for 1 (US) pint

      Code-------Colour------Cumulative------Parts
      DMD670 Quindo V 119.2 119.2
      DMD647 Strong B 183.2 64.0
      DMD622 Red Oxide 254.6 71.4
      DBX1689 Basecoat 509.2 254.6

Color matches perfectly, even the metal flakes!

Just wanted to let you know that my paint guy made a perfect match to the Macho Maroon! The outdated 3 stage process is no longer used these days so we had to go with the closest thing. I'm sure that I can get the new formula from him and post it if anyone is interested. Thanks for all your help...
