Just had new industrial tile floor and high gloss white paint put on the ceiling and walls of my cycle room the morning I left for the XS North rally. It was so humid out that I'd closed the windows and left a couple fans running to dry the paint. Came home to find one of the fans had failed and caused a fire. Luckily the fire burned itself out and didn't take the whole building. Just smoke damage and the floor under the fan.

Good no flamables

Good thing the gas can/s were not close !!!!! Had a guy loose garage and house near here. He was grilling 6 ft. from the open garage door, charcoal grill, ember blew out into the garage and right under a plastic gas jug. Everything gone before the firemen could even get there.

That was lucky mack. Not the fire but the fact that it didn't take the whole building.

Thank God Mack. It could have been a lot worse. The main thing is nobody was hurt.

Hi Mack,
Sorry to hear of your Fire. Fortunately no one hurt and the room looks as though a good clean and a fresh coat of paint will fix it. Maybe stay home and watch the paint dry this time
